I greet you with a very blissful, successful and inspiring New Year. May you always smile and live a great life this 2012.
This New Year, embellished with innovating spirit, joyful alacrity, fresh hopes and aspiring dreams, welcomes us all. We all are full of hopes, peace, sweetness and strength, but with passage of time and our rendezvous with failures, frustrations and give-ups, we feel drained of the same energy with which we are celebrating and entering into the new year.
Instead of quoting some new year resolutions or something else, I thought to put one beautiful poem in the first post on the onset of this year so that whenever anyone feels like giving-up, loser or enervated, just read it once and reinforce yourself with perseverance, optimism and fight back.
The poem is titled as “हिम्मत करने वालों की हार नहीं होती” which has been written by DR Harivansh Rai Bachchan. But there has been a great confusion on the actual poet since Suryakant Tripathi Nirala has also been attributed. I can’t say with full credibility who is to be thanked for such an inspiration (If you have any sound information please let us know).
There may be people who might not understand Hindi, so here’s the English translation of the same (I tried my best to do it, if any correction, then please let me know
) :-
Those who Try Never Lose
You cannot sail across in a yacht with fear of waves,
Those who try never lose.
Little ant when walks with a grain,
It slips 100 times while ascending the walls.
Self-confidence fills the veins with strength,
To fall after climb and to climb after fall does not annoy.
Her toil does not go in vain everytime,
Those who try never lose.
Diver dives in the Indus,
Goes again and again to come empty-handed,
He simply may not get pearls in deep waters,
But his confidence gets doubled in this perplexity.
His fist doesn’t remain empty always,
Those who try never lose.
Failure is a challenge, accept it.
What was lacking, analyse and improve upon it.
Sacrifice your sleep, peace till you don’t succeed.
Don’t you desert the battle field and run away.
You don’t get accolades without doing anything.
Those who try never lose.

Nice one AJ. A positive way to start the new year.
Ya…:)
happy new year
